Excavation system design for the construction of a new hotel in Baveno (VB). The excavation support work included the construction of soil nailing walls and micropile supports anchored with bar and strand tie rods. Indirect foundations and mixed foundations with controlled settlement were used. The preliminary and final testing procedures for the micropiles, nails, and tie rods were also followed to support the construction management. Total excavation volume was approximately 60,000 m3.
